Following NFO in August, new faculty meet briefly once a week to reconnect about topics, such as:

  • Advice from other Junior Faculty on advising and mentoring Independent Study thesis students
  • Local places in Wooster to enjoy
  • Classroom Technology
  • Teaching in a Politically Charged Moment (with staff from the Center for Diversity & Inclusion and the Dean of Students office)
  • Digital Scholarship & Digital Pedagogies
  • Maintaining your research as a new faculty member
  • Teaching Writing Across the Curriculum
  • Interdisciplinary Opportunities for Collaboration
  • Connecting Students with Experiential Learning and other opportunities
  • Life-Work Balance for New Faculty Members

Topics change every year depending on the interests of the group, but there is always time for Anonymous Questions about whatever is on your mind …
