Wooster’s Course Evaluation Surveys begin with the Core Questions approved by the Faculty in May 2021 for all courses with 5 or more students.
Faculty may add instructor-created questions and/or question banks that are available in Course Evaluations & Surveys (CE&S, formerly EvaluationKIT). You can find detailed instructions in the Academic Affairs for Faculty Team (Wooster sign-in required).
Crafting your own course evaluation questions is both an art and a science, and there is a large body of literature devoted to best practices. The Ad Hoc Committee on Course Evaluations (the group that proposed the 2021 Core Questions to the Faculty) reviewed many sources over the course of their work in 2019-2021.
