Please join your colleagues for targeted conversations on course design. These two luncheons provide opportunities to share with one another strategies for thinking intentionally about course design. Though these are part of the Course Design Workshop, all faculty are invited to attend either or both luncheons, whether they are part of the larger workshop or not.
- Thursday, May 16: Designing a Course with I.S. in Mind
This discussion will focus on strategies for designing any level course with the aim of preparing students for I.S. Though we all do this in most, if not all of our courses, in this discussion we will talk think ing intentionally about how the design of our course should reflect the aims and requirements of I.S.
- Friday, May 17: Designing a Course with Diversity in Mind
Many of us have restructured the content of courses over the years to be more inclusive of diverse populations. But we often do not think about how the diversity of our student population may affect how we design all our courses. This discussion will focus on thinking carefully about who are students are as we design our courses.
