  •  We don’t value the scholarship of teaching—we need to encourage and allow people to succeed as educators and in the research of education
  • We know some things but it is very patchy. SURE/CURE surveys tell us good things—can we apply this to our IS progam?
  • Social Academic Experience—working hard on something really powerful. Good emotional relationships. This is the real work of what we do. Research as pedagogy
  • IS is a mutual experience—both faculty and students benefit.
